My First Mother's Day

It was my first mother's day on Sunday! I am not used to getting any attention on mother's day - it is going to take some getting used to...My boys woke me up in the morning with a sweet card and chocolates and then made me muffins. We then headed over to Bainbridge Island for brunch with our friends Randy and Kati and there baby Evie. She is the same age as Oliver and he likes her very much!
My boys got extra dressed up for the occasion...

Don't I have the sweetest little family?

Our big weekend

We had a very big weekend! On Friday Mike's family came to Seattle (His parents, two sisters and their husbands, new 5 week old neice, aunt and 97 year old grandma) for Oliver's baptism and having our marriage blessed in the Catholic church. Mike's sister Katie, her husband Andy and their 5 week old baby (Savannah) stayed with us. It was so wonderful to meet our little neice (and Oliver's only cousin). She is so tiny!

She has the biggest blue eyes ever! And red hair like her mama!

The cousins seemed to like each other (well, as much as a 4 month old and a 5 week old can like each other...)

Katie and Andy are great parents already. We were so impressed that they were up for travelling so soon and very grateful that they did!

On Saturday, we had a small ceremony to bless our marriage in the Catholic church.

Auntie Laura really seemed to enjoy holding those two babies all weekend. Baby looks good on you Laura!

And then on Sunday, Oliver was baptized. It was a gorgeous sunny day and Oliver did a great job.

It was very special to have Mike's grandmother come all the way from St. Louis to meet her two newest great grandchildren. She sure loves those babies!

Oliver was in great form all weekend. He was laughing and smiling at everyone!
