We have been friends with Kati and her husband Randy since we moved to Seattle in 2004. Kati was a post-doctoral fellow at the same time as me and we are both neuropsychologists. Kati works at the VA now but we have stayed good friends. We had talked about wanting to have kids in the next few years, but when I called her to tell her I was pregnant, I didn't expect her to say "so am I". She was due January 17 and I was due January 25. We were both going to have our babies at the same hospital and took all the childbirth classes together. I ended up having Oliver on December 23 and she had her baby girl (Evelyn) on January 23. We are both off work right now so we have had weekly "play dates" since Evie was born. It's great to catch up with her each week. The babies don't do much playing yet, but I'm sure that won't be far off. Here's a few pictures from our play dates - Mike and Randy even joined us last weekend.
